What Will You Learn
Throughout the KS3 English course, students will develop the key reading, writing, and communication skills needed for success in school and beyond. They will study a wide range of texts, including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and drama, learning how to interpret meaning, analyse language and structure, and explore how writers convey ideas and emotions.
Students will also refine their own writing, focusing on accuracy, grammar, and clarity while experimenting with creative and persuasive styles. Speaking and listening are an integral part of the course, encouraging students to express their opinions confidently and engage thoughtfully in discussions.
By the end of KS3, students will have built a strong foundation for GCSE English and developed a lasting appreciation for the power of language.
